About Me

My personal journey into holistic healthcare started in the Adirondacks at Woodland Essence.  There I studied herbalism and sustainability with Kate Gilday and Don Babineau.  The following year I participated in an advanced herbal studies program at Sage Mountain in Vermont with Rosemary Gladstar.  I was afforded the opportunity to study with highly revered teachers and I learned from each one.  Candis Canton Packard, Christopher Hobbs, and Ryan Drum were just a few.  I then assisted at the Women's Herb Conference in New Hampshire, Medicines From the Earth in North Carolina, and the International Herb Symposium in Massachusetts. I then decided to share my experience and began offering workshops.  I believe that the more time we spend in relationship with nature, the more humble we become, and the more we will work to create a sustainable environment.  To that end, I started offering my 7-month herbal program in a hope to increase awareness in local communities.

In an effort to continue my education, I ended up studying massage.  I was looking to increase my understanding of the human sciences of anatomy and physiology to better undertand how the body functions.  Before I knew it, I was enrolled in massage school.  I got what I was looking for and so much more.  I studied anatomy, physiology, neurology, myology, kinesiology, pathology technique, and medical massage .  It also enabled me to further my study of Chinese Medicine theory which I had been so drawn to ever since studying with Candis Canton Packard in Rosemary's class years ago.

I graduated and passed the NYS Board Exam and became a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist.  I then became Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and maintain membership in the American Massage Therapy Association.
